A Sweet Day in May

4 Jun

The big day had finally arrived!  Despite little sleep, the bride’s lack of organization, a sick baby and sheer chaos, we were married on a beautiful Sunday in front of many of our closest friends and family.    DIY weddings are a lot of work but definitely worth it…

We created paper flowers, searched the city for vintage milk bottles and splurged on french chocolate:

Uppercase very graciously offered their staff and equipment for custom buttons and the chalkboards appeared from D’s workshop days before the wedding:

The bride’s dress was hand-dyed and custom made, AK’s was created from her Oma’s wedding dress:

The moustaches, bowtie and headpiece, even they were DIY adventures:

The day…well, it was amazing – the weather, the balcony, the wonderful company.  And now the Parisian adventure, more to come on that.
