Cruesli: Where have you been all my life!

15 Jun

What is Cruesli you might ask? It’s the greatest cereal known to mankind…  Made by Quaker, it’s basically granola with ample amounts of flakes of dark chocolate.  On the box it says it’s “le plaisir croustiallant” which translates to “the crunchy pleasure”.

Why can’t we buy this in Canada? Who knows, I think the Parisians keep it to themselves to drive up tourism to their city.  I mean the Eiffel tower is hardly an attraction compared to these golden bits of goodness…

Europeans know how to do breakfast, from the cereal to the meats and cheese, it’s just better. Life is more exciting when even going to the grocery store is an adventure!

Love, love, love them. And love Quaker Oats too. Here in Spain, we used to get these Quaker Cruesli exactly like the one pictured up there, not even the packaging was localized for the local market, you buy them at Alcampo (spanish branch of Auchan), nowhere else. We get them with a slightly improved packaging nowadays, localized as well. But their are really hard to get, as they fly off the shelves. Quaker Oats is even worse to find. Hope you might ending getting in Canada too, wishful thinking though as I can’t find any mention to Quaker Cruesli at Quaker website. Anyhow… Enjoy them. Bon Apetit !! 🙂
