Lesson #5 – Puff Pastry

Today’s lesson was the most complicated so far but certainly the most delicious!  Aside from trying to cut my finger off with a rather large and very sharp knife, the practical seemed to go quite well and here is the end result:

Palmiers on the left (caramelized sugar puff pastry) and dreamy chaussons aux pommes (apple turnovers, but that doesn’t really do them justice) on the right.
