Paris Walks #25: Trocadero

27 Jun

Another day, another Paris Walks…  It was a beautifully sunny day so we took advantage of one of the many local markets and chose to go on walk #25 called “Trocadero”.  The walk started right from our front door and up the Champs de Mars and past the Eiffel Tower.  Crossing the Seine, we then headed up through Trocadero, a large green space that houses the Paris Aquarium and several museums.

We passed many embassies along the Avenue du President Wilson and then into the market.  As usual it contained amazing produce, meats, cheese, flowers, and of course Parisians.  We browsed all of the mouth watering stalls selling some amazing looking fresh fish, pastries, even fresh pastas.  Unfortunately we were too far from home for any of these items to make it back in the sweltering heat…

Next we passed by le Palais de Tokyo, a modern and contemporary art museum.  On it’s grounds there was a hip hop festival going on, but it was too hot to dance, so we continued across the river and home to the sauna (aka our apartment)
