It’s hard to believe I’m half way through my semester. Although it has not been a taxing schedule, it has certainly flown by! Today we created a few different petit fours, which translates to ‘small oven’ but is really just a small treat served after a meal or as part of a larger dessert.
Here they are:
Marshal’s batons above and raisin biscuits below…nothing epic about either of them other than it’s easy to eat many due to their size!
Oh and here is my new love:
Vanilla powder = heaven! We use it exclusively at school, it’s amazing and I found it at G. Detou, a patissier’s one-stop shop for ingredients (the chocolate section was unbelievable). I have yet to use the powder here in the apartment. The lack of an oven limits my baking capabilities…
