La Tour Eiffel

30 Sep

Yes, finally – La Tour Eiffel.  It only took 4 months.  AK’s G&G are here visiting and the first thing on Grandpa’s list was to see and go up the Eiffel Tower.  Grandma on the other hand, would have nothing to do with it.  So I pre-purchased tickets* for a specific time today and after a long wait, headed up the elevator for the most spectacular view of Paris.

I must say I was a bit nervous with all of the issues going on in Paris (Eiffel Tower evacuated twice in a week)…so I think I hastened the viewing a bit.  Luckily the weather cooperated and it made AK’s Grandpa’s day.

* Note – don’t bother pre-purchasing tickets, they cost the same and you can wait even longer in line.  People buying at the wicket were getting in before us in the reservation line, go figure…
