Photo Friday: Fabric District

Only a few blocks from our house is the fabric district of Paris.  There are probably more fabric stores in this small area than in all of Canada.  One shown below is actually 5 stories tall, and it might even have a basement, we didn’t check.  One odd thing we have noticed is that they don’t use tables to cut the fabric like in Canada, they simply cut it straight from the roll, leaving you with very crooked ends…

 

Kitty print seems to be all the rage right now in Paris, so we weren’t at all shocked to see a wide assortment at the fabric stores.  C is keen to bring some fabric home, but finds the sheer number of stores all a bit overwhelming…
