Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki

31 Oct

A sunny Saturday afternoon, a walk in the park and of course, a delightful treat = Paris in October.  We hit up Patisserie Sadaharu Aoki, who is claimed to be one of the kings of puff pastry in Paris, and bought a chocolate croissant (not just chocolate inside but in the puff pastry as well) and a praline and chocolate dessert (should have written down the name because naturally I can’t remember now!).

I wish I could have taken photos inside the store because he has even created a matcha green tea croissant – definitely not my cup of tea but pretty cool all the same.  There were also chocolates that looked like a box of crayons, bold and creative.

We then headed to Luxembourg Gardens where D and I munched on the croissant while AK was mesmerized by the old men playing chess.

For dessert, the three of us shared this…

All in all, a pretty sweet Saturday.
