Remembrance day in Paris

I was expecting a little bigger celebrations for Remembrance day in Paris, maybe it was the rain or maybe they have other ways of remembering, but the ceremony we saw was quite small.  It seemed like each arrondissement had it’s own little ceremony, but we came across this one on the Champs Elysees, near the Grand and Petit Palais.  Most impressive was the band on horseback (shown above).  They must have been some of the calmest horses, especially the ones carrying the tympani players…
