Wino Wednesday – Chateau de Nety

31 Aug

Wednesday already!  As we continue our weekly sampling of wines under $5, today we feature Chateau de Nety.  It’s a Beaujolais-Villages and apparently is timeless as it has no year on it.  The back of the bottle informs us it’s from a very old winery and is best served with pork.  We had it with pizza but it still tasted fine.  The wine was great, not too sweet, and not to “anti-freezy”, some might call it just right.  Price was $3.97 and I picked it because someone once told me “you can’t go wrong with a Beaujolais”, but my memory isn’t all that good, so they might have said “you can’t go wrong with a Bordeaux”, in which case I guess we got lucky on this one…
