Photo Friday – Boulevard Beaumarchais

9 Sep

Ahhhh Beaumarchais, one of the highest concentrations of camera stores on one street that I have ever seen.  The range from hole in the wall, film cameras from floor to ceiling kind of places, all the way up to places with glitzy displays of the latest and greatest digital has to offer, and everything in between.  While it’s fun to look the prices aren’t great, the film cameras are greatly overpriced while the new digital are all subject to France’s 20% sales tax (already included in the price).  That along with conversion from Euro to Loonies makes them nothing more than eye candy.  Fun to browse nonetheless, and AK seemed to go nuts at every window we stopped at, so hopefully she is learning a love for photography at a young age!
